Development Project Manager – Gloucestershire

My client is a provider of Social Housing, based in Gloucestershire.

To join their new team, they require a Development Project Manager on a part time basis.

The successful candidate will deliver a variety of different projects from inception through to end of defects inspections, keeping within time, budget and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Work with the Development Manager and Executive Team in evaluating new development opportunities to meet local housing need and assist in preparing and submitting bids for grant.
Procure and manage contractors and consultants in order to ensure that projects adhere to the above.
Undertake day to day project management
Carry out surveys at agreed intervals to test satisfaction with the property design, component specification, and environment and contract hand-over procedures of all new properties.
Manage the defects process to ensure that defects are carried out in a timely manner.
Liaise with Finance to prepare programmes, budgets, appraisals, risk assessments, cash flows, and forecasts for individual schemes.
Ensure compliance with internal and Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) audit requirements and industry good practice.
Ensure that current legislation and the organisations policies, standards, procedures and standing orders are complied with.

Qualifications:

Relevant degree or relevant professional qualification (RICS/APMP/CIOB)
Significant experience of working within a Development role.
Significant experience of working on new build schemes from inception through to the completion
Experience of HCA standards, requirements and procedures.
Knowledge of contract procurement and contract management.
