Emma Davidson

Emma joined Carlisle City Council in 1993 as a Housing Assistant and did this for 2 years. In 1995 Emma decided to have a 1 year career break and fulfil one of her dreams and travelled around New Zealand. In 2002 Carlisle City Council went through a Stock transfer with, what is now Riverside.


During her career Emma has worked in a Rural Area Housing Office dealing with rent and tenancy management and also worked in departments such as Right to Buy and Homelessness.  For the last 12 years, Emma has worked as a Housing Officer dealing with Allocations. During this role Emma has worked on a Difficult to Let Action plan which saw the re-let period reduce from 159 to 30 days. Emma has also been involved in the Riverside Staff Forum ensuring that all staff members’ thoughts, ideas and opinions are heard and implemented.


Emma also joined the team in Careline in 2012, this is a monitor and response service for elderly and vulnerable clients who require and seek assistance in their homes.


In 2011 Emma successfully completed an NVQ in Housing. She is also a fully qualified and experience NVQ assessor and trains stewards at Carlisle United and runs security at events on behalf of Carlisle City Council.
