We’re recruiting for a Multi trade (predominantly floor laying) based in Portsmouth. This is a full time, permanent role, working 39 hours per week.

Here’s the facts about the role:

As a multi trade within our planned maintenance team, you’ll carry out a full range of floor laying works (both vinyl tiles and sheet), in various domestic and commercial properties. You’ll work to a set schedule and complete the jobs on time and to a high standard. You’ll also be expected to carry out other semi-skilled trades works when needed.

So a basic level of competency in other trades is needed for this role. Demonstrable experience of floor laying and other skilled works is essential. You’ll have a basic level of digital competency to use a hand-held electronic device. You’ll use it to update and complete your jobs. Also to respond to emails as and when necessary, and complete relevant e-learning courses.

 You’ll hold a City & Guilds NVQ level 2 in a relevant trade. However we’re happy to consider you if you’re ‘qualified by experience’. You’ll have good practical skills and be able to work with minimal supervision.

You’ll also have a full current driving licence to drive one of our vans. This role is subject to a satisfactory driving licence and basic disclosure check.

A full, clean current driving licence (held for at least 1 year) is needed so you can drive one of our vans when necessary.
