Technology and Transformation is a new function responsible for delivering integrated solutions that improve the experience of our customers, maximise employee productivity, enable compliance and create a platform for commercial growth. As well as providing a great IT service, the team are responsible for steering change and supporting the rest of the business with programmes and projects to improve the delivery of our services to our customers and to ensure value for money.

Our approach to technology and digital is based around digital by design principles where our customers are at the heart of our service offer. We work closely with Newcastle City Council to ensure that our ICT infrastructure is secure and resilient and that our digital offer meets the growing expectations of our customers

As the Information Governance Manager, you will manage the Information Governance team, supporting them to drive forward the information governance agenda throughout the organisation. As a subject matter expert you will develop policies, frameworks and initiatives to enable us to manage our statutory requirements.

You will be an expert in effectively translating legislation into practice and work with the business to embed a strong information governance ethos and Data Protection by design and default. Acting as first point of contact for investigating breaches and incidents you will ensure that all incidents are thoroughly investigated, and lessons learnt are captured and applied.

YHN manage more than 26,000 homes on behalf of Newcastle City Council. They provide a huge range of support services to their customers and have bold plans for the future.
