We are currently advertising for a Conference Producer on a 18 month fixed term contract. Through a fascinating blend of research, planning, people skills and intuitive management, you will lead on up to five medium size national events, attracting between 200 and 1,500 attendees that align with business priorities, respond to market demand, and drive the growth of our portfolio.

  • Salary: £35,850 per annum (London) or £31,994 - £34,000 per annum (National).
  • Hours: 35 hours a week
  • Contract: Fixed-term contract (18 months)

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the National Housing Federation (NHF) for an experienced Conference Producer to take responsibility for the success of a series of events that play a critical in part supporting our members. The NHF is the voice of housing associations in England. We are the trade body to almost 600 housing associations, who have grown from philanthropic roots to provide 2.6 million homes to around 6 million people.

Through a fascinating blend of research, planning, people skills and intuitive management, you will lead on up to five medium size national events, attracting between 200 and 1,500 attendees that align with business priorities, respond to market demand, and drive the growth of our portfolio.

 

Key elements of the role:

  • Develop the event strategy for up to five virtual, hybrid or live commercial conferences.
  • Carry out high-quality research and develop leading-edge conference agendas, product add-ons and new launches that respond to the needs of our audience and sponsors.
  • Source, test, recruit and brief high-calibre C-suite speakers to deliver the talks and case studies.
  • Liaise with sponsors to develop programme content, communicate deadlines and share information.
  • Work with the marketing manager to guide your sales team’s strategy with in-depth research and a thorough understanding of your delegate market’s key business challenges.

 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Minimum two years of experience of managing and delivering large scale, complex commercial event programmes.
  • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and strong customer care abilities.
  • Experience working autonomously in a leadership position or as a project lead with cross-functional teams.
  • Powerful and persuasive copy writing.
