Area Manager


Riverside have a new opportunity for an Area Manager in Suffolk, working full-time, on a permanent basis. Your salary will be £36,128.40 per annum. The working pattern will be 37.5 hours from Monday-Friday.

What will you do?

As an Area Manager you will work across a Suffolk with the option of being based in Ipswich, Bury or Haverhill, there is also an option of being beased from home though travel to the 10 schemes will be requried.

You will manage a team of 3 Service Managers and ensure the delivery of a high quality housing and support service. The focus of this role will be to ensure that our brilliant and varied services that offer support for young parents and young people along with Retirement Living schemes and a Military Corrective Traning Centre are delivered to a high standard and meet the agreed performance targets as well as ensure that the staff team are managed and trained effectively.

Day to day

Your key responsibilities as an Area Manager will include:

  • Ensuring that the staff teams deliver ‘best practice’ housing and support service, appropriate to client’s needs.
  • Conduct regular one to one supervision meetings, monitoring staff performance.
  • Delivering clearly defined outcome targets for clients, ensuring quality assessments are consistently maintained to the highest level.
  • Implementing policies and procedures to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Developing and promoting the highest levels of client consultation, communication and partnership in all aspects of service delivery

Does this describe you?

You are flexible, empathetic, inclusive and resilient. Even better, you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills too. You will have experience of leading a team in a supported housing or social support setting and will have a very good understanding of finance and managing budgets
