Events Co-ordinator – WISH SE Board
Women in Social Housing (WISH) is a supportive, inspiring and fun networking community for female housing professionals across the country. The community was set up over 20 years ago after it was identified that women were not getting the same opportunities and support as their male peers across the sector. Although times have changed, inequality still remains and the WISH network continues to bring women of all ages and professional levels together to share, support and inspire each other across different regions.
The WISH South East region has been set up for 2 years and as our network continues to expand, we are now looking to appoint an Events Co-ordinator to join our fantastic board. This is a fantastic opportunity to expand your existing professional portfolio by becoming a non-executive volunteer board member of an outstanding regional network and to make a positive difference to professional women in your area.
The role:
Responsibilities to include:
The time required is very flexible. We work together as a team to ensure we provide support for each other, but generally there is one event and one board meeting which will require attendance and coordination every quarter. Time commitment for our board responsibilities averages at approximately 8 hours pcm.
We are seeking a housing professional who ideally has some experience in events co-ordination and social media management – but more importantly identifies with the WISH values, looking to give back to the industry, facilitate supportive networking and grow within the board. Professional experience level is not an issue and we actively support up and coming housing professionals onto our board as well as senior level professionals.
