Whoever you are and wherever you are at, we want to help you enjoy a better future. That’s the vision of the Calico Group, with each part of the Group having its own specialism and expertise, and a track record of providing a complete community service across housing, healthcare, support, employability and construction. Our ability to combine these specialisms gives us unique opportunities to provide integrated support and adapt to the fast-changing environment in which we are working. This is an outstanding opportunity for a person who is values-driven and motivated to make a real difference to people’s lives at a time when it has never been more important. Our new Group Board Chair will be able to demonstrate inspiring leadership, emergent thinking and business acumen with strong influencing skills and the ability to bring people together across boards and leadership teams. Ideally, you will have chairing experience, using a coaching approach to facilitate great conversations, bringing balance, challenge and clarity to complex issues and diverse viewpoints. Engaging communication and relationship-building skills, and a broad understanding of issues covering health, wellbeing, social housing, skills and employability in the public sector and beyond are also required.

There are 4 Group Board meetings a year and you will need to be able to commit to working 1-2 days per month to deliver the role effectively.
