Co-opted Independent Committee Members (three roles)

Located just to the north of Newport in South Wales, Bron Afon provides housing and support services for over 8,000 properties and 900 leaseholders. Our aim to play an instrumental part in creating flourishing communities in our part of Wales. Providing good quality, affordable housing is an essential part of achieving this, as well as providing encouragement and practical support to people who need it. It’s important to us that we have an effective governance model in place, that enables us to draw on the expertise and experiences of different people in setting our organisational strategy and then measuring progress against the targets we set ourselves.

Following a recent governance review, we now have a number of non-executive roles available for people who feel they can add value to what we do and who are passionate about committing their skills to delivering positive outcomes for people and communities. We’re inviting applications from people with a range of professional backgrounds with a view to establishing a diverse Board with different perspectives and complementary skills.

We’re interested in hearing from people with expertise in HR, Governance, ICT, Business Assurance & Audit, Customer Engagement and Property Maintenance / Development. Your experience may cover more than one of these areas, or you may have other professional skills and knowledge that can add value to our work. Our emphasis is on attracting people who are passionate about shaping successful and thriving communities and who can see the potential impact of what we do. This is a great opportunity to apply your skills at a strategic level in an organisation that is making a difference to people’s lives. We recognise the benefits of cross sector knowledge and expertise so it isn’t essential that you have any direct experience in the social housing sector. We are also open-minded about your geographical location.

Please visit www.social-heart-business-mind.co.uk to find out more. For a confidential discussion or more information, please contact Anne Elliott at ema on 07875 762029.

No agencies please.

Closing date: Monday 6th September 2021.

Aelodau Pwyllgor Annibynnol Cyfetholedig £2,500 y flwyddyn (tair rôl)

Ychydig i'r gogledd o Gasnewydd yn Ne Cymru, mae Bron Afon yn darparu gwasanaethau tai a chymorth ar gyfer 8,000 o eiddo a 900 o lesddeiliaid. Ein nod ni yw chwarae rhan allweddol wrth greu cymunedau llewyrchus yn ein rhan ni o Gymru. Mae darparu tai fforddiadwy o ansawdd da yn rhan hanfodol o gyflawni hyn, ynghyd â darparu anogaeth a chefnogaeth ymarferol i bobl sydd ei angen. Mae'n bwysig i ni fod gennym fodel llywodraethu effeithiol ar waith, sy'n ein galluogi i fanteisio ar arbenigedd a phrofiadau gwahanol bobl wrth osod ein strategaeth sefydliadol ac yna mesur cynnydd yn erbyn y targedau rydyn ni'n eu gosod i ni'n hunain. Yn dilyn adolygiad llywodraethu diweddar, mae gennym bellach nifer o rolau anweithredol ar gael i bobl sy'n awyddus i ychwanegu gwerth at yr hyn a wnawn ac sy'n angerddol am ymrwymo eu sgiliau i sicrhau canlyniadau cadarnhaol i bobl a chymunedau. Rydym yn gwahodd ceisiadau gan bobl ag ystod o gefndiroedd proffesiynol gyda'r bwriad o sefydlu Bwrdd amrywiol gyda gwahanol safbwyntiau a sgiliau cyflenwol. Mae gennym ddiddordeb mewn clywed gan bobl ag arbenigedd mewn AD, Llywodraethu, TGCh, Sicrwydd Busnes ac Archwilio, Ymgysylltu â Chwsmeriaid a Chynnal a Chadw/Datblygu Eiddo. Efallai y bydd eich profiad yn ymdrin â mwy nag un o'r meysydd hyn, neu efallai bod gennych sgiliau a gwybodaeth broffesiynol eraill a all ychwanegu gwerth i'n gwaith. Mae ein pwyslais ar ddenu pobl sy'n angerddol am lunio cymunedau llwyddiannus a ffyniannus ac sy'n gallu gweld effaith bosibl yr hyn rydyn ni'n ei wneud. Dyma gyfle gwych i gymhwyso'ch sgiliau ar lefel strategol mewn sefydliad sy'n gwneud gwahaniaeth i fywydau pobl. Rydym yn cydnabod buddion gwybodaeth ac arbenigedd traws-sector felly nid yw'n hanfodol bod gennych unrhyw brofiad uniongyrchol yn y sector tai cymdeithasol. Rydym hefyd yn agored i drafod eich lleoliad gweithio.

Ewch i www.social-heart-business-mind.co.uk i ddarganfod mwy. Am drafodaeth gyfrinachol neu ragor o wybodaeth, cysylltwch ag Anne Elliott yn ema ar 07875 762029.
