The time is now for the Cambridge Road Estate. That is what you will hear when you start talking to residents who have voted in huge numbers for positive change. So our new Development Director will be taking up the leadership of this large scale flagship regeneration programme, with a strong mandate. The political, resident and stakeholder support is in place, as is the project management infrastructure. This means you can ride on the momentum that has been generated and move us forward at pace.

As an experienced senior development or regeneration professional you will appreciate that this role is as much about people as it is about the technicalities of a large and complex build project. Yes we have an exciting agenda with more than 2,000 new homes to deliver, with improved open, green and community spaces; but we never forget that residents are at the heart of these plans.

We will be relying upon your exceptional relationship management skills to navigate us through this next phase of delivery. Elected members; our joint venture development partners at Countryside Ltd.; a range of statutory, community and voluntary agencies, and of course residents – all need to continue to be invested as we continue this journey.

You will appreciate the importance of generating confidence, remaining focused and being an authentic advocate for this once in a generation opportunity to transform this part of South West London.
