Following a recent change programme, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified finance professional who enjoys supporting non finance colleagues as a business partner. This is a 37 hour per week full time role based within Magenta Living’s head office in Birkenhead.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Finance and Resources you will be providing financial support to the Executive and Strategic Directorate and the Finance Directorate. You will be supporting colleagues in understanding and interpreting their financial results and making business decisions as well as providing financial information to senior management and the Executive Team. Key to the role will be ensuring that colleagues across your business area have the right information at hand to make informed financial business decisions.

The overall purpose of the role will be :  

  • Provide finance support to the Executive and Strategic Directorate and to the Finance Directorate
  • Maintain financial reporting, budgetary information and to regularly reforecast the functional areas within both directorates and across the directorates
  • Act as the finance liaison providing financial reports and budgetary control to Neighborhood Management, Income Team, Customer Support including the Contact Centre and to core services, including Finance, IT, HR, Facilities and Governance.
  • Support the financial management and reporting of Magenta Communities

To be successful in your application you will need to be CCAB qualified with at least 3 years post qualification experience and be able to evidence strong business reporting and partnering capabilities. This will include a strong track record in improving and developing financial reporting, use of financial modelling tools and software and experience of report writing analysing data and information. It is essential that you have significant experience in providing business finance support at a senior level. 

Alongside this you will have first rate analytical skills, influencing skills and the ability to present and discuss financial information with senior management in an engaging manner.  Your technical skills will include advanced knowledge of Excel and the ability to manipulate financial data from financial software packages (we use OPEN accounts).
