Group Audit & Risk Committee Members

Our Group Audit & Risk Committee plays a key role in ensuring that sound governance underpins key business decisions.

Group Audit & Risk Committee Members
Burnley, voluntary roles

Calico Homes owns and manages approximately 4,600 properties in Lancashire – providing high quality housing and an integrated range of specialist support services to our customers. With a very healthy development programme, we are growing across the North-West; and as part of The Calico Group, we are committed to providing quality services that make a real difference to people’s lives. Our independence, focus and vision mean we are ideally placed to make things happen. Our Group Audit & Risk Committee plays a key role in ensuring that sound governance underpins key business decisions.

The Committee has oversight of our financial reporting and audit processes, and reviews our system of internal controls to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. It also provides assurance to the Group Board that a robust control framework is in place to safeguard our assets and manage risk effectively. We are keen to hear from individuals with experience in accountancy, or knowledge of different types of financial accounts such as Charities/LLP/Commercial to become members of our Group Audit & Risk Committee. It’s a role that will suit individuals with a keen eye for detail, a depth of professional expertise in their own subject area, and a wholehearted commitment to delivering for our customers. It’s an opportunity to make a valuable strategic contribution to our organisation and strengthen our governance arrangements. Combining your expertise and experience with other Board Members and senior leaders within the organisation, you will help to foster a supportive and challenging culture.

The emphasis will be on building consensus, but asking challenging questions to get there. Calico Homes is a ‘values led’ organisation, operating with a social heart and business mind. It’s important to us that your own personal values align with our values, culture and ambitions. We can offer you the opportunity to use your skills, knowledge and experience, to make a contribution with lasting impact in an organisation with a proven track record in delivering positive change for vulnerable people.
