Independent Committee Member - Octavia Housing

Octavia Housing have been providing homes for those in need for over 150 years. This makes us one of the oldest housing associations in England. We were founded by Octavia Hill, the Victorian philanthropist and social reformer, whose ideas formed the basis of professional housing management. We currently own and manage around 5,000 properties and our history and values provide the foundation for the organisation we are today.

We promote mixed communities and understand the positive impact that good quality housing and responsive services can have on the quality of life of our residents. We are recruiting an Independent Committee Member to serve our Audit & Risk Committee and Finance Committees. We have a diverse customer base and are passionate about embracing and promoting equality and diversity and we are keen to reflect this within this role.

You will bring commercial thinking with a wide perspective across finance, risk management and assurance. We are open minded as to whether you are an established senior finance professional or a rising star who is seeking to secure their first non-executive role. However, you will bring excellent technical skills and have an understanding of working within a regulated environment but not necessarily from the Housing Sector.
