Interim Assistant Director of Housing - East Midlands


Greenacre Recruitment is currently sourcing an experienced Senior Housing professional to take the reins of a Housing Service for a 6 month period following the impending departure of the incumbent. This role requires an effective people manager to motivate, lead and drive performance improvements across the department.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strategic leadership and management to the housing service.
  • Manage and co-ordinate resources in a well- planned and controlled manner, ensuring that service requirements and resource levels are fully identified.
  • Develop working relationships and greater co-ordinated working both within the service and across other services to improve the overall service to customers.
  • Responsible for a wide ranging service including client management of repairs, capital improvements and modernisation of the housing stock, HRA business planning, delivery of tenant and neighbourhood services, allocations, supported housing, homelessness services and Careline services.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Understanding of the HRA regime and experience of developing business plans for housing services
  • Significant experience of managing tenant services and a sound understanding of housing legislation and regulation, ideally supported by a professional qualification/membership
  • Experience of client management of capital projects and maintenance services and successfully managing significant capital and revenue budgets
