WISH Celebrates Biggest And Best WISH Brighton Event Ever

Over 90 members and their colleagues enjoyed the WISH London annual lunchtime networking reception at the Revolution Bar in Brighton on Tuesday 7 March. Held as part of CIHse this popular annual event just gets bigger and better every year.

“We had our best WISH event ever at Brighton CIHse this year. Thanks to our sponsors Iceni Projects and MDA consulting. Great networking too, lots of new connections made and hopefully many future business and career opportunities.” Nicola Dibb, Co-founder WISH

Over 90 members and their colleagues enjoyed the WISH London annual lunchtime networking reception at the Revolution Bar in Brighton on Tuesday 7 March. Held as part of CIHse this popular annual event just gets bigger and better every year.

The event was also held to celebrate International Woman’s Day, 8 March whose theme for 2017 #be bold for change – really resonates with WISH as an organisation. We encourage women working in housing and construction to network and have confidence in their own abilities and develop their careers by meeting with like-minded individuals. WISH encourages women to step out of their comfort zone, to be bold for their own futures and create a better work/life balance.

“A big thank you to our sponsors this year Iceni Projects and MDA Consulting, their support is invaluable. It was good to see a mix of genders attending our event; WISH needs male advocates to support our work. It was great to meet faces both old and new who were there to hear about the continued success of WISH as a networking organisation and our exciting new mentoring matching service which will be introducing soon.” Nicola Dibb

Speakers at the event were Nicola Dibb, WISH co-founder, who talked about WISHthe work of its regions, exciting news about new regions and the new mentoring programme; Jayme McArthur from Iceni Consulting who talked about the new Government White Paper on Housing; Sarah Smith from Indigo Consulting who informed attendees about the Women in Housing (WIH) awards which are being held in Manchester in November; and Lettice Swan from MDA Consulting, sponsor and London Board Member who organised the whole event.
