WISH London summer event

As always our summer event was a less formal affair giving everyone a chance to touch base and catch up on a personal and professional level, meeting new friends to expand our networks.

We were blessed both by the weather and the hospitality of Notting Hill Genesis welcoming us to their Camden offices, which has a fantastic roof terrace where we enjoyed amazing views of the London skyline.

Once again we had two excellent and inspirational speakers from Optivo, Paul Hackett the CEO and Bunmi Atta Director of Construction. Paul talked of how Optivo are achieving success through their inclusive culture and Bunmi shared her personal journey through housing.

The WISH London Board met beforehand and it was lovely to see such a strong turn out from our fantastic board, of which we have 7 new members and one returning member to help us continue our growth of WISH in the London region.

All our Board work in housing but from many different areas of expertise – all keen to welcome new members to join our region – so check out the WISH website and come along to an event soon to meet us in person.

So here we are in a grey autumn and have just had a fantastic event 'Build your personal brand on Linkedin', were we welcomed Alex Galviz otherwise known as Authentic Alex who is an expert in shaping a linkedin profile and building your Linkedin network. (Read the full event review here)

Many of us get so bogged down in the day to day we don’t give any time to thinking about who we are, how we want to present ourselves to manage and achieve the career we chose. Alex helped us relook at these things through a professional lens. It was a great turn out with so many positive comments from our members.

So we finish the year with our Christmas drinks on Tuesday 3^rd December. Again a more informal opportunity to mix with friends and make new connections. As always we will have an inspirational speaker, so watch this space to see who that will be.
