It’s been a busy start to the year for us at WISH Midlands. We kicked off with a leadership session in January, kindly hosted by Housing and Care 21 in Birmingham. The session gave attendees the opportunity to hear how the world of business and leadership is changing, and what they can do to make a positive impact on their organisation’s success.
Most recently, on International Women’s Day, we used social media to promote the achievements of women in the region and to champion organisations that promote gender equality and the principals behind #balanceforbetter.
Our board member Sue Adams, chief executive of Star Housing, marked the occasion by writing a blog full of great tips on being your best self, which you can read by clicking here. Chair Rebecca Clarke and board member Lynn Clayton also had great fun taking part in WISH’s round table to highlight the ongoing issues with equality in the sector.
As we approach our second birthday, we’re gearing up for our next session which will explore all things networking. From how to build your network to using your network effectively, the session will give insights and practical tips to tap into the power of networking in a way that everybody feels confident about it.
The event will take place on 2 May at 1.30pm to 5pm at the offices of Mazars, 45 Church Street, Birmingham, B32RT. To book your tickets, click here
