WISH North East - Autumn Newsletter

WISH North East are going from strength to strength, find out what the region have been up to in their latest newsletter!

WISH North East are going from strength to strength and are delighted to report they've currently got nearly 70 members.

Events have been well attended. The International Womens Day lunch at Ramside Hall Hotel attracted nearly 200 people and raised over £7500 for Oasis Community Housing to support the work they do with vulnerable homeless women.

Dr Victoria Miller gave an impressive presentation on Impostor Syndrome to an audience of over 60 in June at Acklam Hall. A Panel event was hosted at Baltic SIX to discuss maximising your career opportunities. Speakers included Judith Common, Chair at Believe, Carol Botten, CEO at VONNE, Emily Cox, Group Head of Colleague Relations at Lloyds Banking Group and Board Member at Gentoo, Nitin Shukla, Policy, Performance and Scrutiny Officer at the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Northumbria and experienced NED and Jon Skipp, Managing Consultant from Greenacre Recruitment who kindly sponsored the event.

The Board continues to meet monthly on the first Wednesday of the month now fondly called WISH Wednesday and is planning an away day in December to plan 'what next' for WISH North East.
