Welcome to your Spring update from WISH North Wales. Take a look below to read about all the fantastic things that are happening in your North Wales region.
Since having more spare time on our hands during lockdown, here at WISH North Wales we have well and truly joined in on the podcast 'hype'! Each month we will be sharing with you our favourite podcast!
First up is Women's Health Magazine's Going for Goal, which see's the magazines' Senior Editor, Roisin Dervish-O'Kane, address matters relating to female physical and mental health & well being, along with discussing the goals 'worth shooting for' in 2020 and actions you can take to achieve them. You can find new episodes every Thursday for FREE on your podcast app of choice by searching 'going for goal', and you can browse back through their archives to hear earlier episodes starting from January 2020 too! You can read more about this podcast here.
Keeping on topic with 'goals', we've been exploring the importance of goal setting and why, at this time in particular, it can be truly beneficial to set yourself some new goals and put some steps in place to track progress along the way to success. You can take a look at our latest blog all about goal setting, here.
Keep an eye on the blog page of the WISH GB website, we'll be bringing you regular blogs to help keep you on connected to the world of work, at a time where normal work routines and structure are amiss!
We're so excited to welcome Gemma Kavanagh to the Board of WISH North Wales. Gemma is a fantastic addition to our board, with a wealth of experience in Social Housing and a passion for driving the success of females and equality within the sector. To read Gemma's full bio head over to the Board Member profiles on the North Wales page of the website.
"I’m excited to join the WISH North Wales Board and my ambition is to support women across the sector, and beyond, to achieve their goals" - Gemma Kavanagh
We want to make sure we are supporting our members as best we can during COVID-19 lockdown. So we're asking our members to get in touch with us within the next 5-7 days, via Twitter or LinkedIn. We want to hear your suggestions for any topics you would like us to cover in a North Wales hosted Webinar event.
We'd also love to hear from you about anything else you'd like to hear about in our blogs, newsletters and social posts.
Thank you to all those key workers in Social Housing, who are working each day to provide vital support, care and housing for those most vulnerable at this time.
Best wishes to all our members from all at WISH North Wales
