WISH at the Brighton CIH Conference 2016

Published on 24th March 2016

Over 70 WISH members and their colleagues enjoyed the WISH London annual lunch-time networking event at the Revolution Bar in Brighton on 9 March. Timed to run alongside the CIH spring event in Brighton, this popular WISH event is now an annual diary date for many WISH members, sponsors and associates.

The event was hosted by Syreeta Robinson Gayle, Chair of WISH London.

“This is the third year WISH London has run this event and it just gets bigger and better every year. We were delighted to launch WISH’s networking campaign for 2016 – ‘Unlock your Network with WISH’ designed to enhance and hone members’ networking skills in this time of change where the landscape of UK social housing is shifting in unprecedented  ways, just like many jobs in the sector. We would also like to thank Penningtons Manches for sponsoring the event.”

Debra Constance and Nicola Dibb, co-founders of WISH attended the event and gave a short presentation on WISH and their plans for the future of the organisation and did plenty of networking themselves.

Delegates gave the event a big thumbs-up too

“This is the second time I have been to this event and I really enjoy it. It’s a great place to get to know other people in the sector and the networking is very relaxed and informal, just how I like it.”

“I didn’t attend this event last year but a colleague recommended it to me and I’m really glad I came. I didn’t realise just how many people I knew would be here. It’s been great to catch up with former colleagues and make some new contacts. Definitely in my diary for next year.”

“This is a must attend event for me – WISH has taught me that networking is important to my career and to learn about what is going on in the sector. It was great to see some men here today too!”
