Connexus is a community focused housing group which aims to deliver high quality homes and services across Shropshire and Herefordshire.

The work we do is varied, and no two days are the same. You’ll be joining a team which provides a wide range of excellent support services including independent living for older people, falls services, providing specialist accommodation and services for younger people, and managing a refuge and other safe accommodation for those fleeing domestic abuse.

We have an opportunity for a Mobile Falls Responder to come and join the team. The service supports clients around the clock operating is 365 days, 24 hours, 7 days per week service.

If you are:

• Self-motivated, empathetic, understanding basic first aid and to safely lift uninjured fallers (using lifting devices)
• Able to provide support and reassurance to the fallers and their family/carers in their own home
• Are solution focused and to positively react to the situation as it presents itself
• Someone who sees the benefits of supporting people to live independently in their homes
• Able to accurately complete dynamic risk assessments and provide vital information and data in a timely manner
• Able to drive and travel across the geography of Herefordshire using a company vehicle

Salary: Standby rate £9,394.22 per annum plus £9.50 per hour
Hours: Averaging 42 hours a week on standby (one on three off 8am – 8am shifts) plus the opportunity to work extra shifts – either 12 hours or 24 hours shifts throughout the monthly rota
42 - One Day On, 3 Days Off Rota
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract  6 months

This role would ideally suit someone located in central Hereford, due to ability to achieve the required 45-minute response time to emergency call outs - home based. Laptop, mobile phone, lone worker device & fuel card provided.
