A non-executive role for someone with particular expertise in the digital workspace.

Co-opted Independent Board Member (Digitalisation)

Navigate Group

Located just to the north of Newport in South Wales, Bron Afon provides housing and support services for 8,000 properties and 900 leaseholders. Our aim is to play an instrumental part in creating flourishing communities in our part of Wales. Providing good quality, affordable housing is an essential part of achieving this, as well as providing encouragement and practical support to people who need it. It’s important to us that we have an effective governance model in place, that enables us to draw on the expertise and experiences of different people in setting our organisational strategy and then measuring progress against the targets we set ourselves.

Following a recent governance review, we now have a number of non-executive roles available for people who feel they can add value to what we do and who are passionate about committing their skills to delivering positive outcomes for people and communities. For one of these roles we are looking for someone with particular expertise in the digital workspace. Getting more from our digital capacity so that we can engage with our customers in different ways and make better use of data in shaping our services is a priority for us.

We’d like to hear from people who can offer expertise in areas such as ICT infrastructure and cloud-based solutions, all the time ensuring resilience around Cyber Security. Social media and web development knowledge will also be valuable as these become our most prevalent media in communicating with customers. It’s likely that you have experience in digital project management to support transformational change, so concepts such as Agile working and data-led business process changes will be familiar subject matter.

This is a great opportunity to apply your technical skills at a strategic level in an organisation that is making a difference to people’s lives. We recognise the benefits of cross sector knowledge and expertise so it isn’t essential that you have any direct experience in the social housing sector. We are also open-minded about your geographical location.

Please visit www.social-heart-business-mind.co.uk to find out more. For a confidential discussion or more information, please contact Anne Elliott at ema on 07875 762029.

No agencies please.

Closing date: Monday 6th September 2021.
