Neighbourhood Housing Officer

Following recent internal changes a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Neighbourhood Housing Officer to join our busy Neighbourhood Housing Management Team.

This role is on a permanent basis working 37 hours per week, based in our modern head office in Birkenhead, Wirral. The office is easily accessible from most transport links with just a short walk from Hamilton Square train station and local bus routes. Free parking is provided to staff either on site or nearby.

The role

The role reports directly to the Neighbourhood Housing Team Leader.

The overall purpose of the role will be to ensure that Magenta Living tenants sustain their tenancies by paying their rent and looking after the condition of the property whilst adhering to the terms of their Tenancy Agreement. Knowledge of law and policy related to housing management is essential and a housing qualification or related experience would be desirable. 

You will be someone with a positive and enthusiastic personality with a strong focus on customer services, attention to detail and positively contribute to the role and team you work in. The ability to plan, organise and prioritise work is essential and to be able to work with colleagues at all levels, both internal and external. Good verbal and written communication skills are a must and ideally you should be proficient in ICT packages.
