  • Location: Dartford, Kent / Working from home / Site Based
  • Hours: Full time Contract: Permanent Salary: £47,253 to £59,067 per annum plus a Car Allowance of £2,174 per annum (offered between this scale dependent on experience)

 

We’re on the lookout for a Project Manager (Regen & Retrofit) to join our team!

As a Project Manager (Regen & Retrofit) you will:

  • Ensure the effective delivery of regeneration and retrofit works across Moat’s property portfolio via the day-to-day management of Project Surveyors and external contractors. This includes estate improvement, regeneration, decarbonisation retrofit and fire safety remediation.
  • Provide technical advice on building maintenance and all related surveying services, including new builds.
  • Lead, co-ordinate and guide the activities of the Project Surveyors to effective delivery of programmes.
  • Ensure that quality control and supervision is maintained for each contract, via site visits, assessing contract implementation.
  • Deliver effective contract management of suppliers, contractors and consultants.
  • Keep detailed records of various aspects of the work, based upon frequent site visits and ensuring the asset management database is updated.
  • Provide technical support to our contractors, including contract administration, defects diagnosis, the design and specification of improvement works, liaison with internal and external customers and the monitoring of project expenditure.
  • Conduct property inspections, instructing contractors to provide estimates where required and commission remedial works.
  • Ensure that a clear and consistent approach is in place in relation to the management of all risk areas connected to project delivery and that this is monitored and accurately recorded.
  • Provide regular management reports relating to key aspects of work.
  • Act as Contract Administrator/Employers Agent/Principal Designer, where required, by standard form of construction contracts/regulations. This will include the management of budgets and programmes in the delivery of maintenance and property services.
  • Investigate and resolve any complaints raised by residents relating to projects or services provided by Moat, in accordance with Moat’s corporate requirements.
  • Work closely with the Building Safety Managers ensuring all relevant legislation is being adhered to.
  • Ensure safety, quality control and productivity assessments are carried out so that all work complies with current codes of practice, standards, and legislation, particularly Health and Safety

 

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a relevant Construction / Property qualification (HNC or above) or equivalent experience to the role.
  • Has a sound knowledge of building construction technology, contract administration, managing and delivering budgets and legal requirements.
  • Has a good knowledge of building pathology, with the ability to manage a range of building related cases in domestic residential dwellings.
  • Understands the section 20 process and the party wall regulations.
  • Has expertise in a building construction, surveying, or planned maintenance projects environment.
  • Has the ability to produce accurate written reports and communicate with customers.
  • Has appropriate means of transport and a Full UK Driving Licence.
