National Housing Federation signs up to WISH

WISH is delighted to welcome the National Housing Federation (NHF) 'the voice of housing associations in England' as its latest corporate member.

WISH is delighted to welcome the National Housing Federation (NHF) – the voice of housing associations in England as its latest corporate member.

Kate Henderson, chief executive of the NHF, met with WISH executive director Nicola Dibb to discuss how membership of WISH could be of benefit to the many women who currently work in the various NHF offices across the UK.

The NHF, whose members provide 2.6 million homes for more than six million people, is a perfect fit for WISH, said Dibb.

“We are thrilled that the National Housing Federation has signed up to become a corporate plus member of WISH. With over 900 members, it is in a strong position to help support WISH’s mission –to promote the benefits of networking for women, encourage new talent and support existing talent to remain in the sector and help boost gender equality across housing and construction generally.

“We are looking forward to welcoming NHF members to our events.”

The NHF has taken out a Corporate Plus Membership in the WISH London region which also gives access to events in the other nine WISH regions, as well as free job adverts on the WISH Jobs Board.

“The National Housing Federation is delighted to be a corporate member of Women in Social Housing (WISH),” said Henderson.

“Housing associations have a strong history of building good quality homes and inclusive communities for everyone. But we know we need to do much more to ensure the leadership of our organisations are as diverse as the communities we serve.

“Gender equality is vital for everyone, and we are proud to stand with WISH in doing everything we can to improve opportunities for women to become housing leaders.”
