The past month has brought us Wales' sunniest May on record (that's a fact!), plans for local businesses to re-open in some areas have started to form and we've even seen the arrival of the 'rock snake' - spreading positivity in many towns in our region!

The professional development network, Women in Social Housing (WISH) North Wales recently celebrated this years’ International Women’s Day with an event themed around the power of speaking fearlessly, delivered by the award-winning operatic comedian, Sarah-Ann Cromwell.

Attracting a new generation of women into a career in housing should be one of the sector's key priorities for 2020, according to the Women in Social Housing (WISH) group.
WISH support the annual WIH Awards Now in its seventh year, the Women In Housing Awards held in Manchester in early October is getting bigger and bigger and was an amazing opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women in the sector from all over the UK.
Over 50 of the network's members and friends attended the event, held at the spectacular Moneypenny head office in Wrexham, to experience a series of presentations, including headline speaker, Hannah Blythyn AM, Deputy Minister for Housing & Local Government.

WISH North Wales have hosted their 3rd event of the 2019 'The Optical Illusion of Communication' The event was sponsored by Aura Leisure & Libraries and took place at Wales & West Housing's Office space in Ewloe, which was hired out in goodwill for the event.

An Exciting Year Ahead for WISH North Wales The first WISH North Wales event for 2019 'Nobody's Perfect' took place on Thursday 24th January. Hosted at the brand new 1891 restaurant in Rhyl, which is part of the Denbighshire County Council-lead waterfront regeneration project.
We can't believe how quickly 2018 is passing by. So far this year we have hosted some great events to further our mission to support those working in the housing sector, particularly women working in North Wales, to reach their true potential and help positive change in gender equality.
On September 6th, WISH North Wales hosted an event all about understanding good governance and the importance of addressing diversity in the board room. More than 50 members and friends of WISH gathered at Ty Menai in Bangor...
WISH North Wales Summer Social with a difference on 14th June was a great success thank you to everyone that came along to our Summer Garden Party and got involved in all the action and games.
On 12th April, WISH North Wales hosted an event all about how to build your career and be promotion ready. More than forty WISH members and friends attended the breakfast seminar, at Wales and West offices in Deeside.
Our North Wales WISH community continues to grow from strength to strength, with over 60 companies from across North Wales now members.
The 23rd February saw WISH North Wales host an event where we learnt all about our Chimp, in a workshop delivered by the team behind the highly acclaimed mind management programme, The Chimp Paradox

We are delighted that WISH North Wales Region have been Highly Commended for increasing Equality and Diversity in Housing at the CIH Welsh Housing Awards.
WISH North Wales wished for good weather for their Summer social and got it for the event at The Mulberry at Conwy Marina.
The North Wales WISH region group is still less than six months old but is going from strength to strength.
