WISH North West - Women on Boards – presented by Liz Cross, The Connectives

The topic of Women on Boards was extremely popular, and we had over 40 people joining us

The September 2018 WISH North West event was held at Progress Housing Group’s office in Leyland. The topic of Women on Boards was extremely popular, and we had over 40 people joining us to hear Liz address the following questions:

What does great governance look like?

  • What do value adding boards do better?
  • What do great NED’s/Trustees/Governors look like?
  • What do they bring and what makes the biggest difference?

What makes you tick?

  • What do you bring that might suit you well to a board position?
  • What will help you and what holds you back?

One delegate tweeted:

“Another inspiring @WISHnw event with guest speaker Liz Cross telling us that women who are or would like to be on a board "have the power to change the picture, get stuck in!" #ukhousing #womeninhousing #womenonboards #shakingitup

Thanks to our hosts, Progress Housing Group, and to Liz for her presentation, and for stimulating some great conversations.
