We have been lucky enough to partner with Women in Property South West this year, again co-hosting with WIP on a Social Values webinar with some terrific speakers from across the housing sector, including Legal & General Affordable Homes, LiveWest, HTA Design and Magna. The wide-ranging discussions on MMC and Social Values have been practical and  looked at the need to accelerate use of modern methods of construction to counter some of the issues with traditional housebuilding and face the growing climate emergency, and how MMC can deliver a wealth of benefits for affordable housing.

In May we again partnered with Women in Property on the first of their series of events on Social Value. For our members this was an engaging look at where the social value agenda has sprung from and how to better engage with this on a practical level in delivering projects and places.

By the time of publication we will also have hosted the national webinar on Placemaking, with Elaine Olphert, Bristol City Council, Rob Delius, Stride Treglown and Alexandra Notay, Places for People Capital. This conversation about why our sector needs to continue striving for better throughout our engagement with the built environment is an important one, and we hope you found it interesting.

We have been really lucky to work with some brilliant speakers in 2021. Could you be part of our events in 2021/22?

Please get in touch as we’d love to hear from all our members, and hopefully meet in person again soon.
