WISH Yorkshire & Humberside Spring News 2020

WISH Yorkshire & Humberside held a fantastic morning celebrating International Women's Day and learning about board skills with the brilliant Liz Cross, Gelradine Howley and Tony Stacey.

It was a great interactive session aimed to help anyone considering their first board role or anyone already a board member and simply wanting to optimise their board contribution.

Thank you so much to our hosts, South Yorkshire Housing Association, who let us use their offices in Sheffield and a big thank you to our sponsors: J Tomlinson, Bevan Brittan and Family Fund.

The workshop had a great line-up of inspirational speakers:

• Geraldine Howley, Group Chief Executive of Incommunities Group chaired the event and shared with us her personal experience of working with and on various boards.

• Liz Cross, Founder and Managing Director, The Connectives delivered a highly interactive and engaging session about the role of boards, board members and ensuring organisations attract the right people to the role.

The morning finished with a networking lunch where we enjoyed a fantastic turn-out and the opportunity of networking with some great industry professionals!

Thanks to everyone that made it a truly great celebration of International Women's Day.
